Every year, the iF DESIGN AWARD identifies outstanding design, its relevance for business and everyday life and awards one of the most important seals of quality in the world. Organized from Germany since 1953, the iF label is a reliable sign of good design for consumers as well as the design community.
The iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD is one of the most important design prizes for students from all over the world, with about 10,000 submissions each year.
The competition categories correspond to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. That’s the reason why we are looking for submissions that address the most pressing challenges facing our society.
Once the winners have been chosen and the prize money decided, all winning entries are published here on the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE. The best entries win a share of prize money of EUR 50,000 (in total in 2021).
Who can participate?
Students and recent graduates from all design-related courses and programs (up to 2 years after graduation) are welcome to register their entries for the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD 2021_02 free of charge.
The concepts should not be older than 2 years at the time they are submitted. We will also accept works by small teams of designers with maximum 4 team members.
For this edition, you are encouraged to submit your concept only to the categories of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (1-15). Concepts that do not meet these goals thematically will not be accepted and thus not admitted to the jury, click CATEGORIES.

Register two entries within one application period (until 30 June or 15 October) and only pay one registration fee.
The registration fee has to be paid to participate. It covers the costs for the organization and execution of the online preselection.
