The Ronald and Anita Wornick Award is a great highlight of CCA’s school year. The scholarship is a boon to the gifted students who receive it. The exhibition held every fall to honor those students is the Furniture Program’s biggest annual event. And, most importantly, the work on view clearly demonstrates to the entire college community the values that the Furniture Program promotes and the creativity, dedication, and craftsmanship of its students.
“For many of these artists, the Wornick Award was their first major accolade, and the exhibition that followed was their first opportunity to gather together and show a cohesive body of work, allowing them to gain a real perspective on the scope of their creativity. The enthusiasm that comes out of the entire experience is palpable, and for these artists it has certainly played a key role in inspiring them to continue that momentum as they pursue their creative careers.”
