Plain cloth woven with cotton yarn as warp and weft could be categorized by the thickness of the yarn:
Coarse Plain Cloth: The cotton yarn with more than 32 tex (less than 18 count) as warp and weft;
Medium Flat Cloth: The cotton yarn with 22 ~ 30 tex (26 ~ 20 count) as warp and weft;
Fine Plain Cloth: Cotton yarn with less than 19 tex (more than 30 Count) as warp and weft.

Coarse plain cloth, also known as coarse cloth, mainly refers to the fabric made of pure cotton coarse yarn with plain weave structure.

The main characteristics of coarse plain cloth: rough surface, thick and firm texture, strong stability and good durability. The Neps on the surface of the fabric are relatively more than those on medium plain cloth and fine plain cloth.

The application scope of coarse plain cloth: It is mainly used as the lining cloth. It can be used to make shirts and trousers if the coarse plain cloth is dyed.

Medium plain cloth, also known as market cloth or white market cloth, mainly refers to the fabric woven with plain weave structure of special cotton yarn, viscose yarn, cotton viscose yarn and polyester cotton yarn.

The characteristics of medium plain cloth: the fabric structure is tighter compared to others. The surface of the fabric is flat and dense with good stability. 

Main application scope of medium plain cloth: making lining cloth, interlining, shirt pants, quilt, etc; Medium plain cloth is usually used as grey cloth for bleaching and printing. 

Fine plain cloth is also known as fine cloth. Fine plain cloth mainly refers to the fabric woven from fine and special cotton yarn, viscose yarn, cotton viscose yarn and polyester cotton yarn with plain weave structure.

The main characteristics of fine plain cloth: the surface of the fabric is tight, fine and clean. It is soft, thin and light.

Main application of fine plain cloth: Grey cloth for making bleached cloth and colored cloth. After being made into bleached cloth or colored cloth, it can be used for making underwear, trousers, summer coat, blouse, etc because of the softness and thinness.
