Inspired by some costumes in Broadway musical, I fall in love with the dramatic and rich-colored look. To better present the romantic and intense feeling, I exaggerate the proportion of the chair to make the contrast between body and legs even more dramatic.
Following with the mind map I created, the overall chair shape reminds me of a beautiful animal, flamingo. That’s how the name decide eventually. I really love the furry sections on both chair back and arms. These fluffy soft cushion-like design could provide comfortableness functionally and visually.
Besides, there are some interesting details that I really want to emphasize: The endpoints on arms are deliberately designed in a round-top pointy-bottom shape. What’s more, I put a ball shape structure on legs to not only add more interests but level up the visual center so that the overall visual proportion of the chair could be more exaggerated.
